Get Your Email Settings
Open Connect Devices in cPanel first.
Before setting up the app, get the exact mail server settings for this mailbox from cPanel.
Go to cPanel → Email → Email Accounts, find the email address and click Connect Devices.
Under Manual Settings, use the Secure SSL/TLS settings shown for the mailbox. They give you the exact incoming and outgoing server names, ports, username and security settings to enter in your email app.
iPhone + iPad
Open the Mail account settings.
On current iPhone and iPad versions, go to Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account.
Enter your email address. If Hostmate is not listed as a provider, choose Add Other Account → Mail Account.
Account Details
Choose IMAP and enter the mailbox details.
Enter your name, full email address, mailbox password and a description. If Apple Mail asks you to choose between IMAP and POP, choose IMAP.

The settings above are a guide. The Secure SSL/TLS settings under cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices are the settings to use for your mailbox.
Save
Let Mail verify the account.
Tap Next or Save. Apple Mail will verify the incoming and outgoing server settings. Make sure Mail is enabled for the account.
Apple Mail on Mac
Add the same account on a Mac.
In the Mail app on Mac, choose Mail → Add Account. Enter the email address and choose Other Mail Account if required.
Use the same IMAP, SMTP, username and password settings shown above.
Test
Send and receive a test message.
Open Mail, send a test message and reply to it from another address to confirm both incoming and outgoing mail are working.

Check the exact Secure SSL/TLS settings under cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices. If the account still will not connect, open a Hostmate support ticket and include the email address and the app or device you are setting up.
