2

Home Directory

Open the Home Directory backup.

Choose the Home Directory or files backup area. This contains the files and folders stored in your cPanel home directory, including website document roots.

For a primary website the files are commonly under public_html. Addon domains may use a different document root.

3

Backup Date

Select a date from before the file was damaged.

Use Choose Other Backup to select the snapshot you want to recover from.

Choose carefully.

Pick a backup taken before the unwanted edit, deletion or failed update occurred.

4

Select Files

Choose the exact file or folder to restore.

Use Change Files Selection or the available file browser to select only the files or folders you need.

Leaving all files selected can restore much more of the home directory than intended, so narrow the selection when you are recovering a specific website item.

5

Restore

Start the restore.

Choose Restore, review the selected backup date and files, then confirm the restore request.

JetBackup adds the job to its restore queue. Wait for it to complete before checking the website.

6

Alternative

Download first if you want to inspect the backup.

If you do not want to immediately replace the live file, choose Download instead. You can inspect the backup copy and manually upload only the file you want afterward.

7

Check the Site

Test the website after the restore.

Open the affected page and, if applicable, the WordPress or application administration area. Clear application or browser caches if the restored file does not appear immediately.
