Recommended
Log in to the Hostmate Client Area.
Sign in using your Hostmate account email address and Client Area password.
This is your Hostmate account login, not the cPanel password you are trying to reset.
Open Client AreaHosting Service
Open the cPanel hosting service.
Go to your hosting services and open the cPanel hosting service whose password you want to change.
On the service page, use the Change cPanel Password option in the left column.
Set New Password
Enter a new cPanel password.
Create a strong new password and save the change.
Because the change is being made from your authenticated Hostmate Client Area service page, you can set a new cPanel password even if you have forgotten the existing one.
After Reset
Use the new password for direct cPanel access.
You can then log in directly at https://yourdomain.com.au/cpanel using your main cPanel username and the new password.
Already Know It?
You can also change the password from inside cPanel.
If you are already logged in and know your current password, cPanel also provides a password change option under Preferences → Password & Security or Account Preferences, depending on the cPanel interface version.
For a forgotten password, the Hostmate Client Area method is simpler because it does not require the existing cPanel password.
Still Can't Access cPanel?
We can check the hosting account.
If the password change does not work or the service page is unavailable, open a support ticket and tell us which hosting service you are trying to access.
Open a Support TicketcPanel also provides password management inside the cPanel interface. View the official cPanel Password & Security documentation.
